Check out these babies. Yep, you read right. Franco Sarto. I went to Marshalls/HomeGoods today and it was pure madness. Sales like crazy! Everything was marked down lower than I've ever seen. Guess how much these were?
If you guessed $5, you're right!
BUT, if you're like me, you won't just stop at one pair.
I scooped these up too. I had seen them on clearance a couple weeks ago, but they were still around $15. So I bought them for $7 today instead!
You can never have too many black shoes, right? (*looking around for confirmation*) I tried these babes on and they are soooooooooooooooooooooo comfortable. All for $5.
I also picked up some American Eagle flip-flops for $1. For a total price of $18, I got some smacky-macky deals! (*ok, I promise I'm winding down now)
From Th.- Sat. we are hosting some international students in our apartment who are fundraising to go to Africa for 6 months. There's a Japanese girl, a Korean guy and a Brazilian guy. Unfortunately, I don't remember any of their names because I'm horrible with stuff like that, but ALSO because they don't speak english. We communicate mostly through signs and a word here and there. This lovely lady is awesome. She told me yesterday that since she was in middle school she dreamed of coming to America because she wants an American boyfriend. So cute.
We watched 2 films this week. The one on the left was about the educational system in America and the one on the right was the story of Mark Zuckerberg, the college freshman who invented Facebook.
I made empanadas this week and they turned out pretty good. I put ground beef and potatoes inside the Goya wrappers and brushed them with an egg wash. Simple and yummy.
Earlier this week I finished making a tote bag I'd been working on for a couple days. It takes a long time when you don't have a sewing machine.
I was pretty happy with the final product and am already using it a lot!
My poor viola. Left by the wayside once again. But at least I unpacked it right?
I even got my music out and did a little practicing.
Snapped this one of the hubs. He's been reading this book for a couple days and finished it a few minutes after this picture.
We hit up the Borders Books by Target because it's going out of business. Karl has something akin to an obsession to boxed sets of books and boxed books. This one came home with us.
Currently our living room. Our guests will be leaving tomorrow at 5am to head to NYC. I'm thinking I'll be taking an afternoon nap. After teaching and a wedding.
Wow, what a deal on those shoes! I'm so jealous!
